February 19-21  Austin, Texas

Response To Intervention Conference in Austin, Texas.  The District has obtained a grant to send over 70 Menifee staff to the three day conference. RTI as the best way to systematically respond when students don’t learn. RTI is not a series of implementation steps to cross off on a list, but an ongoing, collaborative process to ensure each child receives the time and support needed to achieve success.  This conference is booked.

February 24-25 Costa Mesa

Good Teacher Conference

The CTA Good Teaching Conference supports excellent teaching and learning practices for classroom teachers via peer-to-peer instruction. Offering a variety of diverse workshops focused on curriculum content areas for K-12 teachers, the conference provides opportunities for professional development and offer time to network and share ideas with colleagues and experts in the field of education.  Open to all teachers.

Summer Institute

The premier workshop of its kind, the Summer Institute offers sessions in areas that assist chapter leaders in the day-to-day representation and support of members. Sessions include Communications, Instruction and Professional Development, Emerging Leaders, Bargaining, School Finance, Healthcare Benefits and Issues, Legal, Member Benefits, and Community Engagement.

September 14 - 16 Rancho Mirage

Fall Leadership Conference

CTA conducts a Fall Leadership Conference is usually held the second weekend in November in Palm Springs.  The conference presents training covering negotiations, organizing, advocacy, site rep training, social justice, human rights, and much more. The purpose of the conference is to train new leaders & sharpen the skills of veteran advocates.
